Product Description
EMS Gateway solution for integrated linkage with power exchange
Most power generation facilities are connected to the power exchange for power supply and demand management, so they are configured to control
the output of the generator by transmitting the power situation to the power exchange in real time or receiving an output control command from the power exchange.
- The DNP Server is configured to handle serial communication because the power exchange and power plant in Korea are connected through dedicated line modems.
- In Korea, the DNP v3.0 protocol between the power exchange and the plant is configured to receive and process plant status data, transmit and process output control commands.
- The output control commands received from the power exchange are configured to control the power generation facilities via the output control PLC (or DCS).
The Korea Electric Power Exchange uses dedicated line modems to monitor the status of remote power plants or perform output control, and smart gateways support them
- It supports various secondary devices such as LS Electric PLC, DCS, etc. To support this, Smart Gateway provides OPC, dedicated PLC communication driver, and Modbus communication driver.
- It provides a function to convert the received message to the address of the secondary device in order to transmit the control command of the power exchange to the secondary device.
For example, if you want to transmit the received command to the %MW100 address of LSIS PLC, you can simply convert it to the desired address using JavaScript, and the received control command can be converted in real time and transmitted to the PLC.
- It is possible to configure the smart gateway for stable operation. The power exchange unit supports active-active redundancy, so no additional saving time is required in the event of a system abnormality.
